For this autumn winter 2010 2011 Fendi collection, most of the bags are simple, in classic shapes, in pale palette and retro brown or orange-yellow. The models are a reminiscent of the 60 bags. The result is a very nice collection, with beautiful details.
Fashion Winter 2011 | Versace
Sunday, March 7th, 2010
The 2010 2011 fall winter collection of Donatella Versace took a very different path from the pastels of his last spring-summer collection 2010. This time, the dark colours were the dominant palette of a minimalist collection with more emphasis on tailoring through asymmetric and geometric cuts.
The show opened with the sound of motorcycle engines, which anticipated the influence of riders that can be found in this collection: leather jackets, suede trousers with leather panels and lots of zippers.
The dresses had a futuristic air with geometric metal panels. But it was not all about sexy dresses, there were also sweater dresses, tuxedo jackets, and even a camel coat.
Short Party Dresses 2011 | Versus
Sunday, March 7th, 2010
“He doesn’t stop thinking and innovating,” said Donatella Versace about Christopher Kane. “He respects women and loves working with them. Look at him.”
In fall winter 2010 2011, Versus emphasis is on young partywear, though Kane’s keen to point out there are elements that are (just a shade) more casual. As he showed off the approachable young simplicity of a circle skirt—worn with a T-shirt, fluffy angora cardigan, and a pair of lace-up biker boots with silver metal-grille toe caps—his boss threw a sidelong glance and flinched congenially at the sight of the flat heels, and sighed, “Oh, don’t show me them again.”

Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey mined Burberry’s military heritage for the Prorsum pre-fall 2010 winter 2011 season with a battalion of weatherproof wool felt coats cinched with chunky belts, leather and shearling aviator jackets, and gabardine trenches. “This collection is anchored in history, and what you’re seeing is a roll-call of Burberry outerwear,” said the designer. “I love mixing different decades — but using modern fabrics.” He said the brand’s new social networking Web site, artofthetrench.com, got him thinking about the ways Burberry trenches have been worn over the years.

Fashion Summer 2010 Trend | Primal Prints
Thursday, November 12th, 2009
Primal print was one of the fashion trends at spring summer 2010 runways. Mixed prints and layers of contrasting fabrics somehow make sense when paired with graphic jeweled cuffs and oversized neckpieces, as we saw on the runway of Dries Van Noten. Diane von Furstenberg took a more bohemian approach to the tribal trend for spring—with armfuls of bangles and printed maxi-dresses—while Frida Giannini and Nicolas Ghesquière fell hard for the urban warrior.
