The dresses had a futuristic air with geometric metal panels. But it was not all about sexy dresses, there were also sweater dresses, tuxedo jackets, and even a camel coat.

Formal Dresses 2010 | Marchesa Spring Summer

For Spring Summer 2010, Marchesa reference was Madame Butterfly, which led in a straight line to the formal kimono wrapping of stiff satin formal dresses and flat, obi-esque folds. And, of course, the drama of Chapman’s signature sculptural and gravity-defying ruffles of horsehair is nothing short of operatic.
